To all the students of Tontadarya College of Engineering , Gadag

Dear students….

I am trying to reach you through this blog as I can not  meet you all personally due to shortage of time ....

As you might be aware by now that I have taken over as  Training and Placement  officer  of TCE, Gadag  from Professor  I.S.Patil  (though he is assisting me now initially till I get acquainted with the new responsibility ) 

My responsibility is to arrange training programs for you to groom your personality, soft skills as well as technical skills. Placement  is also another difficult assignment I have  in my hand right now and It will not be easy for me to complete my assignment  without a full co-operation  from you people. 

In this age of globalization with cut – throat competition in job market ( with around 225 Engineering Colleges in our state and around three thousand in the country )  I know  that the task  at my hand is very very tough. But you need to struggle to get success and struggle is essence of life too…

To bring a good company to our college campus (in a small city like Gadag ) for  campus interviews  by convincing the company  that we have the required pool of talent  is  another tough task which I may not  accomplish without your will and cooperation…

In this direction its my duty to warn you that  “ without a value addition “  to your pursuing  bachelor degree, getting a good job with a satisfactory salary is near to impossible at least in these years of  unprecedented recession.

And I have many other plans also for your career growth which I will reveal  from time to time….

And this is a special request to  our Civil Engineering students of  Vth and VII th semesters  to actively involve  in this training and groom yourselves into successful engineers in your future. 

I know there are some friends of you from another planet who are living in their own world of illusion enjoying at the expense of their parents hard earned money. But they will suffer afterwards when they realize  what they have missed . Don’t listen to them. They may tell you that the sessions are boring…which I know personally are not. And remember  every thing  can  not be entertaing in life or enjoy full in life…there are serious matters too…and your future is one of them.  Don’t play with it by missing this gem of an opportunity… 

I hope you will take my advise positively and participate in this program and emerge as successful civil engineers in life….
